Dear customers.
I’ll be honest with you, I am The real Grinch, I am. No shame. I would also admit that I don’t do Valentine’s day or any other sort of commercial celebration. I’m a party pooper! And here I am, in charge of this wonderful Earthy adventure and having to deal face to face with these questions: “You are doing Christmas hampers, aren’t you?”.. “What about Valentine’s day?” … The kind of questions that make me doubt about my own integrity now that, well, I’m a business woman. I have learned already how a business is highly impacted by this busy dates and while I want to look after Earthy’s best interest, I can’t help but feel a bit guilty from participating in it. So I thought about it and, yes, I don’t like the craziness around certain times of the year (maybe some of you don’t like it either) but I do love giving gifts to my love ones when I see something special they would like or need.
Not everyone feels the same way I feel about these festive dates so, how could I mix both ways of feeling? I decided that if I was going to do something extra for Valentine’s day, I will as well give something in return, to a cause I believe the majority of you will resonate with, aligned to Earthy’s vision and everyone who support us.
We will donate a percentage from Valentine’s sales to TRIBE ANIMAL SANCTUARY SCOTLAND. At Earthy’s I produce in small batches and that will affect the donation, but we feel it is important to contribute what I can however small.
